Glasses-free 3D Animation

We've been hearing quite a bit about 3D video. Experiences like the movie Avatar showed us another way to view on-screen media. But if you've ever worn a pair of 3D glasses, you know that the feeling that there shouldn't be a piece of plastic in between you and the imagery. You also know that if you move your head, say stretching your neck, the images blur. At this year's Windy City Biz Bash, you can enter the world of glasses-free 3D.
Instead of 2 source video used in traditional stereoscopic 3D video (like Avatar), this method creates 8 streams of video, eliminating the need for polarizing glasses to view the dimensional effects.
Glasses-free 3D is just one item in a long list of cutting-edge technology in the toolbox of in-kind sponsor Creative Digital Images (CDI). CDI's mission statement of "Specializing in Customer Delight" definietly applies here!
Alioscopy, the provider of the display technology, gives a comprehensive (and easy-to-follow) technology overview for the curious among you.
This is another opportunity for advertising — to benefit any company with a 3D product or logo -- or offering they want to present in rich dimension.
We're lucky to have the support of in-kind sponsor Freeman, the only A/V company in the US renting the specialized monitor and computer systems to run Alioscopy's multiview displays.
Thank you to in-kind sponsor Creative Digital Images who will create media for the platform.

The River East Art Center
Curious about the venue for this year's Windy City Biz Bash? Get to know River East Art Center:
- The River East Art Center (also known as REAC) is located in Streeterville, a neighborhood once independent of The City of Chicago. Streeterville was annexed by the city in 1918.
- Streeterville is named for George Wellington Streeter, the Captain of the steamer that ran aground on a sand bar. The area was originally called "District of Lake Michigan."
- Architectural design of the REAC building is distinctively Venetian in style.
- While attending the Windy City Biz Bash be sure to see REAC's 60-foot wide illuminated Venetian Water Wall and Mother of Pearl inlay terrazzo floors.
- REAC’s stunning views of the Chicago River will be plentiful during the Windy City Biz Bash.
- REAC is often referred to as an expression and inspiration as well as a premier destination for Chicago’s culturally curious.
- On a budget? Take the free shuttle bus that runs from State Street east along Illinois Street to Navy Pier. Be sure to get off at McClurg Court or Phestigo Court.
- After Windy City Biz Bash, return to REAC to attend art classes or view original artwork on display in one of the galleries. (REpose Gallery, Ogilvie/Pertl, Starr Gallery, Platinum Gallery or Aldo Castillo)
- The REAC boasts a Mandala (a geometric design representing the entire universe) on the far eastern wall in Fox and Obel. This Mandala is symbolic of individuals coming together to create something larger than themselves while maintaining personal uniqueness.
Be sure to "Like" REAC on Facebook while registering for Windy City Biz Bash.
We're looking forward to hosting this year's Biz Bash in such an amazing venue. We hope you'll be there to experience it with us!
