06/24/2012 - 06/26/2012	IABC 2012 World Conference The International Association of Business Communicators will hold its annual conference on June 24-26 at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers, 301 E. North Waters St., Chicago. The conference will offer more than 70 professional development sessions tracked by topic (marketing/brand communication, communication leadership, strategy and counsel, public relations, change management, employee communication and skills development). Marketing communication topics include “Lessons learned in igniting word-of-mouth movements,” “Is your website advancing your brand—or your competitors’?” and “How cemented are your stakeholders/customers to your brand?” In addition, the conference offers outstanding opportunities to make new professional contacts and network with more than 1,400 communicators from all over the world. Popular events include a “Dine-Around” on Tuesday, June 26, which enables small groups of communicators to meet and network at a downtown restaurant of their choice; a walking tour on Saturday, June 23; and the “Give the Gift of Communication” community service project, also on Saturday, June 23.
